Volunteer requirements: U8-U14 Families
As a 100% volunteer organization, we cannot provide a great environment for our players without the support of our family volunteers. While we are not a fundraising-first club, we do ask for family participation during events such as club tournaments and/or club wide social events like the Beer and Wine Tasting. These events build community and camaraderie and also generate funds directly invested back into the club. Funds have been used for things like outfield fences, indoor batting cages, enhanced indoor space, and a new pitching mound for Field Park. Without the support of family volunteers, these improvements would not be possible.
Our goal as an organization is to motivate families to volunteer their time in the Club in roles ranging from selling raffle tickets at the Beer and Wine tasting to having an advisory role on the board. As communicated during registration, every U8-U14 family will be invoiced $200 if their volunteer obligation is not met.
EXEMPT FROM FEE AND VOLUNTEERING DURING BEER AND WINE TASTING: head and assistant coaches, your team's designated team parent, Board coordinators and advisors, Beer and Wine planning committee.

Beer and wine tasting - Friday Feb 24
Two tickets for each U8-U14 family are included with player registration
In order to make this event a success, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! We recognize that everyone is busy, but ask you to consider volunteering in whatever capacity you are able. If you are unable to commit time, we ask you to consider if your place of work could be an event sponsor, or if you have a talent you could donate as a silent auction item. Please communicate with your team's Team Parent if you can help in any of these areas!
What we need:
● Each team needs a parent representative to make a team bucket and coordinate an age level basket.
Time commitment for this role is very limited, but it is integral to the success of the event.
● Variety of coordinator roles for the event
● Day-of event volunteers will be needed during the event. Information about those opportunities will be shared in early February.
● Post-event volunteers to do things such as write thank you cards

Additional tickets for the event will be available for purchase for family, friends, and neighbors! Watch for more details on ticket sales coming soon.

who's my Team's "team parent"?
For the 2023 season, we pulled together a group called "Team Parents", one from each U8-U14 team. Members of this group are coach suggested and board approved. Designated Team Parents are led by the Team Parent Coordinator and assist the team in ways such as answering non-coaching questions, tracking volunteer requirements, and championing club-wide initiatives such as a the Beer and Wine Tasting so that the coach can focus on preparing for their team’s success on the field.
Please reach out to your team's Team Parent with ANY "non-coaching" questions you have ... they will point you in the right direction! Click here for a team by team list of Team Parents.
